Student Advisory Board
The Student Advisory Board of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras is an important opportunity for members to help lead the organization regarding social activities, recruitment, marketing, events and program feedback. Members meet up to 8 times per year with organization staff and report to the organization’s Board of Directors. Members have the great opportunity of learning leadership, teamwork and governance skills as they help make the organization better for their peers.
The Student Advisory Board meets several times during the season to talk about their experiences in the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras, meet with Board Members of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestras, provide ideas to recruit new students, help plan social events for students and families, and provide crucial feedback to help our organization continue to grow. Members of the Student Advisory Board need to maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and provide a statement as to why they wish to participate.
