Summer Symphony Strings Camp

Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23, 2017

Peter Markes, Artistic Director

The Summer Symphony Strings camp is an annual commuter day camp, no audition required! This camp was open to students in grades 5 through 8 (in the 2016-2017 school year) who have been playing for at least one year and can read music. Students participate in orchestra rehearsals and sectionals, working with professional staff members who supervise all activities. The daily schedule includes other arts experiences outside of music, such as visiting a violin-making studio, movement classes with the OKC Ballet, and gallery programs with the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
