Dionna Fuston, a native of Oklahoma City and former Oklahoma Youth Orchestras member from 1992-1999, earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. Following graduation, Dionna was an orchestra director at Eisenhower Middle School and High School in Lawton, Ok. She then worked for Enid Public Schools from 2004-2012 where she performed as a violinist with the Enid Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Fuston served as a director and Assistant Director in Ponca City, Ok from 2012 -2013. Dionna then worked at Central Middle School in Edmond, Ok from 2013 – 2016 before moving to her current position as director at Heartland Middle School in Edmond, OK.
Professionally, Ms. Fuston has served as All State Orchestra co-chair, Tri-State Honor Orchestra chair and co-chair, Enid All City chair and co-chair, North Central Honor Orchestra 7th & 8/9th grade co-chair, and is a National Board Certified Teacher in Instrumental Music Education.
