NYC is Calling OYO

For the first time in our 42-year history, we have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, as a part of the Sounds of Summer Festival! In early June 2020, Mr. Grogan’s OYO will travel to New York City for six days filled with rehearsals, performances, clinics, and much more! Commitment Details – Current students in OYO and recent alumni have been invited to commit to attend the tour. Recent OYO Alumni are invited as long as they can attend the tour rehearsals, most are planned for Mondays in May of 2020. Potential tour participants have been receiving information this fall, and commitments including time, financial, and behavioral agreements, were due on September 30, 2019 for current OYO Members, and were due on October 14, 2019 for our recent OYO alumni.

Cost – $2,500 per person includes airfare, hotels*, ground transport, most meals, tips, the concert, and activities. OKYO’s Board of Directors is aggressively fundraising to decrease this cost for students – an initial $500 payment will be due by November 4, 2019, with the remainder due by February 3, 2020. Stay tuned for that remainder amount to decrease as we continue to raise funds for this special opportunity! * $2,500 is based on 4 people per hotel room (aka “quads”); cost increases for adults and family of the musicians who wish to stay in single or double rooms
