Rockin' Strings at the 2016 Festival of the Arts!

Rockin’ Strings at the 2016 Festival of the Arts!

Created in 2014 by Mrs. Karina Fisher as a pop and rock string orchestra, Rockin’ Strings explores everything from Katy Perry to Led Zeppelin and famous movie music to today’s hits! Students will explore proper technique and challenge their musicianship while preparing for their fun and unique concerts. Last year, students enjoyed performing for OKC Philharmonic’s “Wiggle Out Loud Festival”, Oklahoma City’s “Opening Night” Concert, The Festival of the Arts, and The OKC Blue Halftime Show! This group rehearses once a week on Thursday evenings, does not require an audition, and is conducted by Mrs. Courtney Monk.
