Play It Forward

BIG NEWS: With deep gratitude to the Ad Astra Foundation and Members of the OKYO Board of Directors, we want to let you know that donations made during this Play It Forward campaign will have TWICE the impact, thanks to a 1:1 Matching Challenge! That’s TWICE the amount of music education for outstanding students, up to $15,000!

You can join us in this great work – Play It Forward with a donation to Oklahoma Youth Orchestras today, and have your gift DOUBLED!

Big Goal, Big Impact

Every year we provide musical opportunities through twelve different ensembles and programs to 400 Oklahoma students, ages 8 to 18. Over 4,000 community members enjoy our concerts and special performances throughout the season, and we frequently represent our city and state at music festivals and conventions.

To keep this good work going, our goal is to raise $15,000 of support from the community, matched dollar-for-dollar by the Ad Astra Foundation and Members of our OKYO Board of Directors, for a total of $30,000 of support for music education! We are currently at 36% of that goal, thanks to the generous donors listed below – thank you! Learn more to see how OKYO students Play It Forward and lift up their communities through music. One new outreach effort of our students and alumni is our Music Matters to Me Videos – this spring students are sending in recordings of themselves to share with senior living centers to provide the comfort of music to those who re unable to have family visits at this time. Learn how you can be a part of incredible work like this!

NEW Grandparents Circle

Now when a grandparent (or anyone who fills that special role) makes a gift to OKYO in honor of their grandchild, we have a special giving circle just for them! Benefits start this fall and will include a special listing in our programs and a photo for grandma or grandpa of their favorite student with their OKYO conductor!
